New Achievement for the Peripheral Vascular Disease Research Chair
Wining of the Best Research Award for 2009 Fellows’ Day in Canada

Dr Talal Altwaijri has won the “Best Research Award” for Vascular Surgery Fellows at the 2009 Winnipeg Vascular and Endovascular CME Symposium which was held in Winnipeg, Canada on April 23-24, 2009. Dr Altwaijri is currently pursuing his vascular surgery training in Calgary, Canada and will join the Division of Vascular Surgery at King Saud University by the end of this year. He has great contribution in the research and educational activities of the Peripheral Vascular Disease Research Chair over the last year and he is considered to be one the most active members of the chair.
The title of the wining research project was “The role of Endovascular repair in Aortic Dissection” supervised by Dr Randy Moore, Associate Professor and Staff Vascular Surgeon at University of Calgary and an advisor for the Peripheral Vascular Disease Research Chair at King Saud University.
